One fine day in 2003, I decided to start a food blog to tease my sister and my mother who were both living in the USA. Somehow, along the way, I ended up feeding a lot of people just via the food pictures that I put up everyday. In 2005, I decided to take a break from blogging and just take it easy. So there were sporadic posts from my travels in the US as well as Germany and England. Now in 2009, I'm trying to pick it up again and start chronicaling my journey towards a better lifestyle that is more healthy than what it currently is right now.

So, anyone? She’s been wanting to know how to cook it PROPERLY and has tried countless times throughout her life but could never do it.

Wena : Wei! What’s in the pot outside ah?

Granny : Bamboo shoots lah! But old dry one from China! Only come once a year during CNY. But for sure you don’t like one. Very keras (hard)!

Wena : Aik! Try try mah!

Granny : Aiya! Very hard one. Have to soak in water long long time. Need to change water somemore.

Next day.

Wena : Wah! Cook already ah?

Granny : Yeah lah! But sure you don’t like one.

Wena : *munch munch* Aiyo! So keras (hard) one!

Granny : Yalah! Tell you one, don’t want to listen.
